The F2003-GAFerrari's Dream Machine for 2003![]() February 7th 2003 The F2003-GA is the forty ninth single-seater built by Ferrari to compete in the Formula 1 World Championship. The basic design concept is unchanged from that of the F2002. Attention has been paid to optimising aerodynamic efficiency in addition to further lowering the caršs centre of gravity. All areas of the car have been completely redesigned in an effort to get the maximum performance out of the new 052 engine and the Bridgestone tyres. The official designation of the car partly follows tradition, while the 'GA' suffix has been added in honour of the late Avvocato Giovanni Agnelli. ![]() Model: F2003-GA Engine: 3000 Ferrari (Type 052), V10 ![]() Total Displacement: 2,997 cm3 Timing Gear: 40 valves Fuel Feed: Magneti Marelli digital electronic injection Ignition: Magneti Marelli static electronic ignition Transmission: Semiautomatic sequential electronically controlled gearbox, limited-slip differential, 7 gears + reverse Chassis: Carbon-fibre and honeycomb composite structure Front Suspension: Independent suspension, push-rod activated torsion springs Rear Suspension: Independent suspension, push-rod activated torsion springs Brakes: Ventilated carbon-fibre disc brakes Length: 4,545 mm Width: 1,796 mm Height: 959 mm Front Track: 1,470 mm Rear Track: 1,405 mm Kerb Weight (with water and oil): 600Kg Wheels: 13 ![]() |
