Jaguar Racing

As part of our continuing commitment to success, Jaguar Racing invite applications for the following positions:-

Transmission Designer Ref. HR24 March 15th 2000


A qualified mechanical engineer with a minimum of 2 years experience to work as part of a team designing transmission and hydraulic systems. You will be a CAD user, preferably 3D and have an understanding of transmission installations within an F1 or similar environment.



Software Support Engineer Ref. HR27 March 15th 2000


With a suitable degree or HNC/D and experience in the following areas: user-interface creation for bespoke applications with an engineering bias and database design, security and management. An in-depth knowledge of VB and MS Access is essential; C/C++ would be helpful.


Junior Vehicle Dynamicist Ref. HR26 March 15th 2000


The successful candidate will hold a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (minimum) and be experienced in the application of ADAMS/RaceCar or ADAMS/Pre to vehicle simulations (other ADAMS experience considered). Minimum S-years experience in automotive engineering, with racing experience preferred. Unigraphics CAD experience helpful. Commitment, teamwork and the ability to work under pressure essential.


Aerodynamicist Ref. HR28 March 15th 2000


Degree level education (minimum) with hands on wind tunnel experience and an in depth knowledge of CFD methods. You will have an instinctive and organised approach to data analysis and will currently be working in a similar racing environment or be operating at a similar level within the automotive industry. Travel to wind tunnel tests at home and abroad is required.


Electrical Technician Ref. HR25 March 15th 2000


A factory based position to assist in the support of the race and test team. Responsibilities include the building and servicing of looms, sensors and other electrical assemblies and the servicing of all offcar electrical/electronic equipment. You will be fully conversant with military wiring techniques using AS or equivalent connectors and Raychem products and able to work on your own initiative. An understanding of computers and Windows 95 would be useful.

Jordan GrandPrix

PROJECT MANAGER March 16th 2000
Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will be qualified to at least HND level in Automotive/Manufacturing Engineering and be responsible for the control of projects from conception to point of fit on our Formula I cars.

All applicants should be fully computer literate, flexible and used to working to tight deadlines in a very demanding environment.

Previous experience in Motor Sport would be an advantage, but is not essential.

As a F1 Team we are providing a top environment for engineers to design, develop and track engineer race cars at the highest level. To further strengthen our team, we are looking for creative, forward thinking people, especially for the following positions:

Senior Aerodynamicist March 15th 2000
To join a team of aerodynamicists which is responsible for aerodynamic development, wind tunnel testing and project management. A minimum of three years' experience in F1 or Champ cars is required.



Design Engineers March 15th 2000
To design components for the race cars or the wind tunnel models using CAD (CATIA knowledge is an advantage). Previous experience in surface or mechanical design in a motorsport environment is required.


Design Engineers System Engineers
Responsible for running control and data analysis systems on the race car as well as programming control parameters. Previous experience in electronics and control systems gained in motorsport environment is required. All applicants should be extremely flexible and efficient team players. Successful candidates must be able to work under pressure in a demanding environment that needs initiative and the ability to work to tiqht deadlines.
